The church and surrounding buildings represent three historic distinctions; New York City Landmark (1966, 1977); National Register of Historic Places (1974); and National Historic Landmark (1977).

Since relocating to the Greenwich Village area of Manhattan in 1846, we have enjoyed an especially close relationship with this neighborhood south of Union Square.  The doors of our magnificent church are open to serve all who enter, regardless of who they are. Grace Church draws its members from the greater New York metropolitan area, and over time, our membership has come to represent a diversity of faith backgrounds.  All are welcome.

Production and Communications Manager

Position Description:

The Production and Communications Manager is a full-time opportunity for an outgoing self-starter who will oversee our live stream ministry (Est. 2019), create branding materials, and maintain the Grace Church website and social media accounts.

The Production and Communications Manager should have experience with multi-media outreach, post-production messaging, and an eye for live production. The ideal candidate has experience creating print and digital materials, conceptualizing fresh ideas and concepts, and a strong ability to write, produce and edit content.

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain Grace Church website including; create & edit content, upload media, audio sermons, and videos.
  • Create copy and manage all social media content across Grace Church channels; Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
  • Manage live stream and recorded church events, Sunday morning worship services, and other special events as needed, including; Sunday Forums, Christmas Pageant, and wedding ceremonies.
  • Experience with vMix (or similar virtual control systems), Vimeo console, and YouTube platform.
  • Shoot short-form video/audio productions and photographs of various church events for use in print materials, media productions, live stream, and website.
  • Produce and post-edit in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Layout, design and develop print materials with colleagues to increase effective and original content for online engagement, program posters, brochures, and outreach materials.
  • Work collaboratively with volunteers and Grace Production crew.
  • Compile a style guide to set the standards for fonts, color, and formatting, for the design of documents and materials.
  • Manage all interior and exterior signage, posters, and banners.

 Experience and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Three years of experience in live streaming, video and print production, and design.
  • Proficiency in Divi, Visual Builder, XYZ PHP snippets, and revision queues.
  • Experience with vMix (or similar virtual control systems), Vimeo console, and YouTube Live platform. AWS S3 and Soundcloud a plus.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must possess the ability to exercise good judgment, and be motivated to take ownership of work.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be flexible to attend and support special events in the evenings and/or on weekends to compile media content.
  • Knowledge of or familiarity with the Episcopal Church is a plus but not required.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, but must be flexible to work on alternate Sundays (swapping out a weekday) and occasional evenings and/or special events.

Parish Office Coordinator

Position Description:

The Parish Office Coordinator is a part-time opportunity for an outgoing and friendly professional who will manage our front office, greets visitors, and assist with administrative projects associated with parish programs.

The Parish Office Coordinator is the first point of contact for church members and the public and should excel in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is motivated to support new and existing initiatives and a wide range of administrative tasks.

The Parish Office Coordinator reports to the Director of Administration and works both independently and within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist members and visitors who arrive at the parish office, field general email inquiries from the public, and direct phone calls/inquiries to colleagues accordingly.
  • Maintain the church calendar for daily meetings, weddings, specials programs, and events, using imported XLS. and ICS. files.
  • Coordinate incoming/outgoing mail and sign for packages and deliveries.
  • Coordinate ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution of office supplies. Work with vendors to troubleshoot office services equipment.
  • Provide information by phone, email, and in-person for weddings, memorial/funeral services, special events, and rentals.
  • Convey pastoral requests to clergy and Grace Cares outreach. Distribute outreach materials to visitors in need.
  • Maintain records for weddings, baptisms, and parish transfers. Assist with public inquiries for archival materials.
  • Assist with printing bulletins and other materials as needed.
  • Maintain a full stock of tracts, brochures, welcome cards, and literature in the Church and Parish House common areas.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to find solutions and exercise good judgment.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office suite and working with XLS. and ICS. files.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit, church, or house of worship is a plus.
