About Eva
The Rev. Eva N. Suarez is the newest member of the Grace Church clergy team, currently serving as an Associate Rector on a part-time schedule. She will join the Grace staff full time on July 1st. Her work at Grace includes a focus on welcoming new members and parish life, preparation for “rites of initiation” like baptism and confirmation, as well as children, youth, and family ministries; especially Sunday School, special liturgies, and other programming designed to welcome our youngest parishioners and their families. Before joining the staff at Grace Church, Eva served as the Canon for Community Engagement at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, and as an Associate Rector for Pastoral Care and Parish Life at St. James’, Madison Avenue. Eva received her M.Div from Union Theological Seminary, an M.S.W from the Silberman School of Social Work at CUNY Hunter, and her B.A from Columbia University. Originally from Washington, D.C., she is a city gal at heart. In her spare time, you can find her exploring the far reaches of the transit system, enjoying some live music (most any kind!), or making a mess in the kitchen.
